DBR Builders (NW) Ltd, part of the DBR Investment Group, is looking for an ambitious apprentice to join our growing property investment team.
Working alongside experienced property professionals, you'll gain practical experience across acquisitions, development and asset management.
Typical Responsibilities
- Researching investment opportunities.
- Analysing residential and commercial property.
- Working with estate agents, brokers, surveyors and lenders.
- Reviewing valuation reports, finance offers and leases.
- Carrying out market research and comparable evidence.
- Assisting with acquisitions and due diligence.
- Supporting the management of residential and commercial assets.
- Using Microsoft 365 and AI tools extensively to analyse opportunities and improve efficiency.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Is analytical and organised.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Has strong attention to detail.
- Is comfortable using Microsoft 365.
- Is interested in AI and technology.
- Has a genuine interest in property investment, acquisitions and asset management.
- Wants to build a long-term career within the property industry.
Previous property experience is not essential; however, a genuine interest in property development, acquisitions and asset management is important.
A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
The successful candidate will receive structured apprenticeship training, workplace mentoring and increasing responsibility as their knowledge develops.

General Builder and Property Maintenance / Handyman
Wigan Central WN1 2AD From £20 an hour - Full-time Location: Wigan Central WN1 2AD Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (40 hours per week) About Us: DBR Builders (NW) Ltd is a property development company specializing in the new build and conversion of commercial buildings into residential blocks of flats. We manage a varied portfolio, including blocks of apartments. Our reputation is built on delivering exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding service within the property development sector. Position Overview: We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable General Builder – Property Maintenance / Handyman to join our team for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repair works across our project sites initially in Wigan, Chorley, and Stoke on Trent and eventually, other sites and properties across the Northwest (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Preston, Bolton, and Manchester). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in small electrical and plumbing repairs, joinery works, flooring installation, door adjustments and general property upkeep mainly making good surfaces and painting. This role requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to work independently across multiple sites. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including minor electrical and plumbing work and joinery tasks - Carry out painting and patching works when required to maintain the quality and appearance of properties. - Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution to minimise disruption. - Conduct and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing safety and functionality of the properties. - Maintain an organised record of repairs completed, materials used, and follow-up actions needed. - Liaise with project and site managers to prioritise and schedule tasks efficiently. - Work safely at all times and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: - Proven experience in property maintenance and general building works - Strong practical problem-solving and diagnostic skills. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks across multiple locations. - Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential. - Own tools and PPE are required. - Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. - Familiarity with health and safety standards and ability to adhere to site protocols. Commercial & Residential Property Cleaner
Bolton BL7 £15 - £18 an hour - Part-time Job Type: Flexible / part-time employment initially, with progression to regular full-time employment Primary Base: Egerton, Bolton, BL7, Greater Manchester Other Locations: Stoke-on-Trent, Chorley and Wigan (additional DBR-owned development from Q1 2027) Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week initially, expected to increase as the portfolio grows Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to availability About Us: DBR Builders (NW) Ltd is a property development and property management company with a growing portfolio of commercial premises, residential apartment blocks and development sites. Position Overview: We are seeking dependable, proactive Commercial & Residential Property Cleaners to support our growing portfolio. The role will initially provide approximately 30 hours per week, including a regular three-hour weekday cleaning shift in Egerton, Bolton, together with communal-area, residential end-of-tenancy and ad-hoc site cleaning. We are particularly interested in an established team of two able to work independently and travel between locations. For the right candidates, the role is expected to grow into regular full-time employment with training and wider property-support responsibilities. Working Pattern and Locations: - A core three-hour shift each day, Monday to Friday, in Egerton, Bolton, BL7. - Preferred core hours are 6.00am-9.00am or 7.00am-10.00am. Evening alternatives of 4.00pm-7.00pm or 5.00pm-8.00pm may also be considered. - Additional ad-hoc hours will be available for external communal areas, general upkeep, periodic deep cleaning and site welfare/office cleaning. - Regular communal-area cleaning and ad-hoc residential end-of-tenancy cleans will be required at DBR-owned apartment blocks in Stoke-on-Trent and Chorley, covering approximately 59 apartments. - From Q1 2027, the portfolio will include an additional DBR-owned 31-apartment development in Wigan. - A full UK driving licence and reliable access to a suitable vehicle are required, as travel between DBR properties forms part of the role. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Clean commercial offices, residential communal areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, kitchens, washrooms, site welfare areas and other shared spaces to a consistently high standard. - Complete thorough residential end-of-tenancy cleans of apartments, including kitchens, appliances, bathrooms, floors and internal surfaces before re-letting. - Undertake external communal-area cleaning and general upkeep where required. - Identify and promptly report damage, maintenance concerns, hazards, access issues or low stock levels. - Use cleaning products and equipment safely and complete agreed checklists, cleaning records and photographic updates. - Handle keys, access information and tenant-related matters securely, professionally and confidentially. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: - Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, particularly in commercial premises, residential blocks, communal areas or end-of-tenancy cleaning. - Able to work independently and unsupervised, take ownership of assigned areas and maintain consistently high standards. - Full UK driving licence and reliable access to a suitable vehicle. - Reliable, punctual and flexible, with good time-management and communication skills. - Professional and respectful when working around tenants, visitors and colleagues. - Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and COSHH requirements is advantageous. - Applications from experienced individual cleaners will be considered; however, established teams of two are particularly encouraged. Pay and Working Arrangements: - Hourly Rate: £15.00-£18.00 per hour, depending on experience and suitability. - Authorised business travel between DBR properties during the working day will be reimbursed in accordance with agreed mileage arrangements. Authorised travelling time between work locations will be treated as working time where applicable. Normal commuting is excluded unless expressly agreed otherwise. - Approximately 30 hours per week are expected initially, with the workload anticipated to increase to approximately 50-60 hours per week across the cleaning team as the portfolio grows. - The role will initially be offered on a flexible/ad-hoc employment basis, with the intention to progress towards regular full-time employment after approximately three months, subject to satisfactory performance and business requirements. Training and Career Progression: For suitable candidates, DBR will provide training with the opportunity to progress into residential property inspections and wider property-support duties, including post-tenancy and cyclical inspections, photographic reporting of maintenance issues and appropriate liaison with tenants and maintenance teams.
