Experienced Plasterer
Wigan, Northwest, England Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (40 hours per week) £18 - £20 an hour - Full-time About Us DBR Builders (NW) Ltd is a property development company specializing in the new build and conversion of commercial buildings into residential blocks of flats. Position Overview We are currently seeking experienced Plasterers with expertise in multi-finish application for walls and ceilings to join us for an exciting project involving a residential block of 30 flats located in Wigan. The successful candidates will be responsible for achieving smooth and flawless finishes on interior surfaces, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetics of the project. This role requires expertise in traditional plastering techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and applying spray plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a high-quality, smooth, and uniform finish. Key Duties and Responsibilities •Prepare surfaces by cleaning, applying bonding agents, installing joint tape and securing corner beads and trims. •Mix plaster to the required consistency and apply coats to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. •Utilize plastering tools and techniques to achieve a smooth, uniform finish. •Apply multi-finish to walls and ceilings to achieve the desired texture and appearance. •Repair imperfections and uneven surfaces before applying plaster. •Ensure all plastering work meets high-quality standards and complies with building regulations. •Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency. •Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure work areas are kept clean. •Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications •Proven experience as a plasterer, with a strong track record of completing plastering projects. •Expertise in multi-finish application for walls and ceilings. •In-depth knowledge of plastering materials, techniques, and tools. •Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. •Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines. •Own tools and equipment required for the job. •Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (preferred). Compensation and Benefits •Payment Options: oQuoted price work for the entire project. oAlternatively, an hourly rate depending on your preference. •Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. General Builder and Property Maintenance / Handyman

Position Overview: We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable General Builder – Property Maintenance / Handyman to join our team for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repair works across our project sites initially in Wigan, Chorley, and Stoke on Trent and eventually, other sites and properties across the Northwest (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Preston, Bolton, and Manchester). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in small electrical and plumbing repairs, joinery works is flooring installation, door adjustments and general property upkeep mainly making good surfaces and painting. This role requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to work independently across multiple sites. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including minor electrical and plumbing work and joinery tasks • Carry out painting and patching works when required to maintain the quality and appearance of properties. • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution to minimise disruption. • Conduct and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing safety and functionality of the properties. • Maintain an organised record of repairs completed, materials used, and follow-up actions needed. • Liaise with project and site managers to prioritise and schedule tasks efficiently. • Work safely at all times and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: • Proven experience in property maintenance and general building works • Strong practical problem-solving and diagnostic skills. • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks across multiple locations. • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential. • Own tools and PPE are required. • Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. • Familiarity with health and safety standards and ability to adhere to site protocols. Payment Options: o An hourly rate staring at £20.00 per hour, depending on experience. All day-to-day maintenance tasks will be paid at this hourly rate. o Quoted Price Work: Available occasionally for specific tasks on our larger project sites. Property Development & Project Management Apprentice
Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £8.00 - £12.71 per hour, depending on the candidate’s age, experience and skill set. DBR Builders (NW) Ltd, part of the DBR Investment Group, is looking for an ambitious apprentice to join our growing property development and construction business. This is not a traditional office apprenticeship. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Architects, Surveyors and Construction Professionals on live residential and commercial developments throughout the North West. From day one, you'll gain genuine responsibility and develop practical skills while working on real projects. Typical responsibilities •Supporting live construction and development projects. •Liaising with architects, engineers, planning consultants and local authorities. •Procuring building materials and specialist subcontractors. •Obtaining quotations and comparing suppliers. •Reading drawings, quotations and technical documents. •Supporting contractor procurement and project administration. •Assisting with planning and construction documentation. •Liaising with insurers and service providers where required. •Using Microsoft 365 and AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency. Typical responsibilities •Researching investment opportunities. •Analysing residential and commercial property. •Working with estate agents, brokers, surveyors and lenders. •Reviewing valuation reports, finance offers and leases. •Carrying out market research and comparable evidence. •Assisting with acquisitions and due diligence. •Supporting the management of residential and commercial assets. •Using Microsoft 365 and AI tools extensively to analyse opportunities and improve efficiency. We're looking for someone who: •Is analytical and organised. •Has excellent communication skills. •Has strong attention to detail. •Is comfortable using Microsoft 365. •Is interested in AI and technology. •Has a genuine interest in property investment, acquisitions and asset management. •Wants to build a long-term career within the property industry. Previous property experience is not essential; however, a genuine interest in property development, acquisitions and asset management is important.
